1. Do I need a referral, or can I admit myself?

Most patients are referred by a GP, psychiatrist or another healthcare professional — but if you’re unsure where to start, we’re happy to guide you. You’ll find the full admission process, including what to bring, on our Admission page.

2. Will my medical aid cover my stay?

Most medical aids cover psychiatric admissions for up to 21 days, and our case managers arrange authorisation to secure the maximum benefit available. Some plans carry a co-payment, which we’ll always explain upfront. See the details on our Medical Aid & Costs page.

3. What conditions do you treat?

We provide compassionate inpatient care for depression, anxiety, trauma & PTSD, insomnia and more — with a plan built around you. Read about each one on our Conditions We Treat page.

4. What does treatment involve?

Your care combines psychiatric consultations, individual and group therapy, occupational therapy and 24-hour nursing in a calm, structured environment. Explore how it works on our Our Treatment Approach page.

5. Can my family visit me?

Your family’s support matters, and we’ll help them stay involved in ways that protect your recovery. Visiting and communication guidelines are on our Family & Visitor Information page.

6. Is there care for teenagers?

Yes, our dedicated Teenage Unit offers age-appropriate support for adolescents in a safe, structured setting, with families involved throughout. Learn more on our Teenage Unit page.
